Smelling flowers and blowing bubbles

I can’t seem to get around to doing much pranayama (yogic breathing) these days. But it has been so enjoyable just being out in the garden relaxing. After my baby Remy was gifted bubbles from his cousin Beibhinn, Liam has been blowing bubbles almost every day for him and says how a nice side effect is how tremendously good it is for deepening his breath. And somewhere recently Liam and I heard again the phrase “don’t forget to stop and smell the roses” - so now I make a point of stopping to smell the actual pink roses when I pass by them outside our courtyard as well as the other colourful flowers that I grew this season. A fun and natural way to deepen the inhale and the exhale!

For updates on future yoga classes and workshops you can follow along on Make Space Yoga here and here. Image above is a painting I did outside one day while looking at the snapdragons and trying to capture just how wonderfully colourful they are.
