August Reading: Dream Baby Dream

This book has been on my wish list for quite a while and I finally bought it this summer. It’s a showcase of the lifestyle and fashion photography of Los Angeles-based designer and photographer Jimmy Marble. I love his use of colour and playful shots. I also love how much of a non-perfectionist he seems to be around sharing photographs that may be out of focus or not technically perfect. This is reassuring and freeing to see - and a reminder that photography should be more about capturing the feeling and a moment. This book is especially inspiring right now as Liam and I are putting together a photo book for Remy’s first birthday. We are trying to keep it simple with the amount of photographs (especially per page) and this book is a good example of the power of that.
